Area Command-having been in several EOC's but never in Area Command it made it understandable.

This course is a hit the ground running and doesn't stop. That's good and bad in my opinion. Good because it fits a lot of training into 24 hours. Bad because it is tiring. :-).

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I think this helps me understand the overall ICS training better and I'd like to continue with that.

As a PIO, getting time in front of a camera was the most valuable as you really feel as though you are under pressure and it most accurately simulates real life events.

I can honestly say that understanding the complexity of what first responders deal with is incredibly valuable to PIOs.

Exercises with opportunity to interface with command staff and determine how I would engage as a PIO and how I would collect/analyze the information appropriate for the public.

At the same time, the exercises and more tactical information would good knowledge and context, but do not directly apply to role as a civilian PIO.

I wonder if there could be a breakout group for PIOs during the computer training or some other way to utilize their time.
